Everyone Ponders This

Bloody or Clean,
Painful or with absence of,
Long awaited or sudden,
Touching many or few,
Each will be decided in the counting moments.

These are the moments when you begin to realize everything,
You begin to rethink the years of decisions,
Wondering if it was all worth it,
In this last moment do you have anything to be proud of?
Did you really do anything worth mention?

Are you just the same as everyone?
You greatest gift about to end,
And after all you’ve been given,
Can you say you gave the world anything?
I want to say I gave everything.
