Those boring, lifeless talkers we call teachers

For all the great teachers out there,
The ones whose desire is to teach,
Whose life is to teach,
Not to hear themselves speak.

They’ve gone to school for many years,
Studied their stuff,
Learned everything not for their knowledge,
But to teach the youth of our nation.

These teachers teach not for now,
But for you, and everyone,
To have the knowledge,
To pass those tests.

We may think we have the knowledge,
But now that paper’s on your desk,
Can you remember what you’ve learned,
Can you really handle it when it’s real?

Don’t feel bad if you fail, everyone does,
But now maybe you’ll listen,
To those teachers whose dream is for you to pass,
Pass each and every test.

God places tests in our life everyday,
Not to see us fail,
But to show us we need to be ready,
To learn from these great teachers.

God places these teachers in our life,
His very own sons,
To share their knowledge,
So someday we may pass our tests,
And in turn, become teachers ourselves.

Thanks Kevin. I thought of that name. No, I'm totally kidding. But I have to admit it is pretty sweet. It has a lot of nicknames that come along with it too. Dennie or Lanny. Haha Victoria gets pretty ticked off at me when I call him that though.
