This War

This War.

I will fight to stop this now,
May not succeed,
Will not succeed,
But then why try,
All for the glory of the one who gave me the chance to try.

I’ll try to war against this world,
Not war with it, but against it, against all it is about.
A world against war, yet warring over everything,
But in these wars, more than lives can be lost,
Not the wars where our sons and daughters lives are decided,
But the wars that can decide what really matters,
Not whether the homeless will eat,
Or what the rich do with their blessings,
But what are the people doing with their lives.

These are wars within our world,
But there is a war that comes before this,
The war that creates what we see as more important,
So I’ll pray for the ones who don’t get to see my three meals a day,
And give my sympathy, but not give too much,
I may find myself in my world pleasing image,
Which is the basis to this war that comes before the worlds wars.

Every second I’m awake I’m fighting in this war,
Losing mostly, but still fighting on,
Trying to work my way against the current rather than drifting,
Being faithful some may call it,
And that is what I am trying,
Trying, and succeeding in it,
But I will still be lost in the battle field of this war that I will forever fight in,
The never ending war against what our world stands for.

I will war against this world, but this is the world I love right?

I live for it, not for my savior,
So how am I faithful when all I live for is what I war against?
I may always be lost in this maze of battle fields like some,
Or I will choose one and fight,
Give it my all and live to fight,
Or truly trust my leader in the war,
And not worry about the battles but where we end up,
Not worrying about how I fight,
But that I never give up.

And this is what I believe being faithful is,
So what will happen on this field, on this planet.
Will I win, will I lose,
It does not matter if I feel I have won,
It all matters on how strong I stood in all the fighting,
This is what will decide what the end of my war looks like.

This one is kind of weird, you might get confused, i did.
